Today is like this poster. When you’re on a really really really long drive. And you’re NOWHERE near home. And you see one of those large realtor billboards, with the smiling lady with too much lipstick and it says “If You Lived Here, You’d be Home By Now”. And you think “damn it- shut up”.
6 hours ago, the mighty NIMITZ should have been sailing under the Coronado Bay Bridge. 3 hours ago, I should have been enjoying Yogurtland in Little Italy. Thank you “Big Navy” and various other worldly events. Because if the NIMITZ Strike Group hadn’t gotten extended by 2 months, I’d be home. Right now.
Food for Thought. Yum.

you will be home before you know it. Would a paper chain be helpful? 60 might be too many little things to make, but maybe not... just an idea!

ReplyDeleteMy mother always said "Life is what happens while you are making plans." Hang in there. By the time you come in the really bad weather on the West Coast will be over...maybe.
